The upcoming sale of cosmetic manufacturing equipment is drawing interest from across the industry, as manufacturers look to retain valuable production capabilities within the UK from iconic British beauty brand, Barry M Limited – in administration.
Managed by BTG Eddisons Asset Sales, the timed auction will close on Friday 17 April 2026 and features a wide range of specialist machinery from the company’s Northwest London facilities. The sale is being overseen by Director Kevin McAndrew.
The catalogue includes lipstick filling machines, powder filling equipment, laboratory mixers, and packaging machinery designed to support the production of colour cosmetics and personal care products. The assets are suited to a range of manufacturing environments but are used and respected within the beauty and cosmetics industry.
Such machinery is recognised within the sector for its role in delivering consistent, high-quality production across product lines including lipsticks, powders and emulsions. With established manufacturers increasingly focused on efficiency and sustainability, maintaining the active use of existing equipment has become an important consideration.
There is a wider industry emphasis on the circular economy, where redeployment of machinery enables continued use of valuable assets while reducing the environmental impact associated with new production. By extending the operational life of specialist equipment, manufacturers can support more sustainable production practices.
There is anticipated interest from UK-based cosmetic producers, contract manufacturers and emerging brands seeking to strengthen domestic operations. Retaining this type of equipment within the UK manufacturing base helps support skills, infrastructure and ongoing innovation within the sector, whilst allowing businesses to respond more quickly to increasing market demand.
Viewings can be arranged by appointment on Thursday 16 April, with collections scheduled for Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 April.
Further details, including full specifications of the available machinery, are accessible via the online auction catalogue.
